Blue Summer

This summer I’ve felt a lot of pressure to try to define my style. Looking through my Pinterest pages, Instagram feed, and closet I found that clean lines and lots of blue and white were what caught my attention. This surprised me because I would say that describes a more preppy or sophisticated style. I used to strongly identify with the “preppy” look but since then I’ve really tried to branch out and wear less classic pieces. I have nothing against that style but lately it just hasn’t been something I’ve identified with as much. I almost stopped myself from posting these outfits because I thought they didn’t fit into the style that I’ve labeled my self with, but then I realized that if I like these outfits then that’s truly what matters. Basically what i’m trying to relay is this cliche message that I have recently found to be true: it’s great to have a cohesive style and clear personal brand but it is even more important to just wear any clothes that make you feel good. The whole purpose of fashion is to give everyone free expression, not to put people in boxes. Anyhow, I wanted to share these two looks with you, because I feel really confident in them!
