Music is such an important thing to me. I listen to it practically 24/7 and I turn to it when I’m happy, sad, bored, and even when I’m mad. It’s like caffeine that wakes me up in the mornings and I doubt I would be able to function without it. I have a pretty widespread taste, ranging from the most popular music on the radio to extremely obscure songs that may be a little odd. Because of my obsession with music, I wanted to talk about what I have been listening to, on repeat, lately. These aren’t all recent but still very worth listening to.
These are my go-to chill out songs:
Heartbeats- Jose Gonzalez
Stay Alive- Jose Gonzalez
Between the Bars- Elliott Smith
Letting in- Beauville
Shiver- Lucy Rose
Nothing Arrived – Villagers
Fire and the Flood – Vance Joy
If you’re wondering how I find my music, the truth is it almost all comes from recommendations from other people. If someone posts something saying “listen to this song”, I’ll add it on Spotify. Sometimes I have to listen to a song ten times before I like it and sometimes I like in the first 10 seconds but I always give suggested songs a chance.
Pump up/ Happy Songs:
Lose Yourself- Eminem
Steady 1234- Vice
Another Day of Sun- La La Land Cast
Start a Fire- John Legend
Shape of You- Ed Sheeran
Beauty in the World- Macy Grey
I Always Knew- The Vaccines
Left Hand Free- alt-J
YOUTH- Troy Sivan
Price Tag- Jessie J
I am constantly finding new songs that I will listen to for awhile and then once I’m tired of I move on, but it’s always fun when I find old music that I forgot about and I can then wear out again.
